Ripe berries as an afternoon snack or to curb a sweet tooth. Since I was a child I have always been a lover of berries, the original love being raspberries. Their vibrant colors and sweet taste have always been a thing of enjoyment and decadence to me.

Harry Potter. These books are like old friends, you can always count on them. I’ve read, and re-read them many a time. Their book covers are worn like your favorite pair of jeans; soft, slightly faded, and well loved. There is nothing better then a well loved book.

A cool ocean swim in the heat of summer. Being a small part of such a vast thing is calming. During the summer most of my time is spent, if not in the ocean, on the beaches. I don’t surf, or do any ocean related sport, I simply enjoy the ease of being in the ocean without the pressure of anything else. Playing in the waves is one of the utmost joys of summer.

Redwoods, huge forests. These forests force you to realize how small you really are. The fresh forest smell, the sounds; a forest is an enchanting thing. I spent some nights under this particular canopy camping with my family and we left recharged and ready to face the modern world once again.
